Rainbow was formed by Ritchie Blackmore in 1975 after he left Deep Purple at the height of their fame. They were instantly successful and released a string of hit albums, with an ever changing line-up, between 1975 and 1983 when Blackmore broke up the group to join the reformed Deep Purple. This concert from their European tour in 1977 features the line-up responsible for the «Long Live Rock’n’Roll» album released later that year, including vocalist Ronnie James Dio and drummer Cozy Powell. Blackmore had to be smuggled out of Austria after a trouble with the police at a gig two nights earlier and was very late arriving in Munich, all of which seemed to inspire both the band and the audience to create a truly remarkable gig.
This performance is from the Eagle Vision DVD «Live in Munich 1977», available now.

  1. jeden z najbardziej udanych utworów grupy rainbow oczywiście z tych utworów bardziej łatwiejszych ale niesamowicie działający na psychikę ten utwór otwiera wszystko

  2. all professional attitudes except for one'' and of course we know who that was'' arrogant blackmore'', they played Cleveland in Cleveland in 80 with pat travers at the music hall , a small venue only 5000 but set for sound, and they didn't even come out for a encour tune in cleveland'' wtf;; they got booed well blackmore did because everybody knew it was blackmores fagass that wouldn't come out , and travers came out and played on the heat of the fans being pissed and fucking smoked them''. , noke Cleveland.

  3. Long Live Rock'n'Roll"

    All right
    Rock and roll, yeah

At the end of a dream
If you know where I mean
When the mist just starts to clear

    In a similar way
    At the end of today
I can feel the sound of writing on the wall
    It cries for you
It's the least that you can do

Like a spiral on the wind
I can hear it screamin' in my mind

    Long live rock and roll
    Long live rock 'n' roll
    Long live rock and roll
    Let it live

    In a different time
    When the words didn't rhyme
You could never quite be sure
    Then on with the change
    It was simple but strange
And you knew the feeling seemed to say it all
    It cries for you
It's the least that you can do
Like a spiral on the wind
I can hear it screamin' in my mind

    Long live rock and roll
    Long live rock 'n' roll
    Long live rock and roll
    I'm losing control

    Long live rock and roll
Long live rock 'n' roll, yeah
    Long live rock and roll
    Look you

    If you suddenly see
    What has happened to me
You should spread the word around

    And tell everyone here
    That it is perfectly clear
They can sail above it all on what they've found
    It cries for you
It's the best that you can do
    Like a sound that's everywhere
I can hear it screaming through the air

    Long live rock and roll
    Long live rock 'n' roll
    Long live rock and roll
Let it live, let it live, let it live

    Long live rock and roll
Long live rock 'n' roll, yeah
    Long live rock and roll

Banners held high with a curse and cry and it's
    Long live rock and roll
    Long live rock 'n' roll
    Long live rock and roll
You feel it around, spread it around, make you what just should

    Long live rock and roll
    Long live rock 'n' roll
    Long live rock and roll
    Live, live, live, live

    Long live rock and roll
    Long live rock 'n' roll
    Long live rock and roll
Let it live, let it live, let it live, let it live

    Long live rock and roll
    Long live rock 'n' roll
    Long live rock and roll
